Truly wireless earbuds are becoming very popular thanks to Apple’s AirPods, and competitors are getting better and better. Samsung’s Gear IconX wireless earbuds are pretty fantastic, and now the $200 earbuds come free with the S8 or Note 8 for a limited time.
Truly wireless earbuds are growing in popularity quickly, but they’re far from perfect. While some have proven great, like Apple’s AirPods, others just aren’t. Now, Samsung is taking a second shot with these types of earbuds in the 2018 edition of the Gear IconX, and, well, they’ve still got some work to do.
Earlier today, Samsung took the wraps off of its new Gear Fit 2 Pro and Gear Sport wearables. In addition to these two announcements, Samsung also unveiled an updated version of its Gear IconX wireless earbuds. The big feature this time around? Access to a voice assistant that likely won’t do what you want it to.
