Acer announces two new Android-powered desktop-sized All-in-one computers

Just ahead of CES next week, Acer has announced a handful of new hardware and devices including two desktop-sized All-in-one computers powered by Android.

The Acer DA223 HQL runs Android Jelly Bean with a 1.7 GHz quad core Snapdragon 600 processor on a 21.5″ touch screen HD display. It also runs Windows.

It features a built-in rechargeable battery so you can move it from one room to another without being plugged in.

Acer also announced a hi-res big screen variant also running Android Jelly Bean. The Acer TA272 HUL features a 27″ touch screen display at 2560 x 1440 resolution with wide viewing angles.

It as well as a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra processor. Storage includes 16GB flash for running Android apps and a USB 3 port is available for connecting compatible accessories such a gaming controllers.

Both systems integrate with Acer’s secure Build Your Own Cloud service for syncing music, photos, and other content as well.

Acer’s Android-powered 21.5″ All-in-one retails for $699 while the larger, more powerful 27″ All-in-one runs $1,099. Acer says both All-in-ones will be available through its store worldwide.
