Here’s what the Google Play Store is likely to look like when it gets its ‘Material Design’ revamp based on the new look and feel of Android L. Google has already started rolling out the new design language on the web in the form of new pages for Docs, Sheets and Slides.

The screenshots were obtained by Android Police, which says that the redesign of the Play Store is “well underway” …

It’s only a couple of months since Google tweaked the design of the store, with a mobile web version introduced for the first time shortly afterwards.

App Annie data recently showed that revenues from apps downloaded from the Play Store more than doubled within the space of a year, with a staggering 98 percent of it coming from in-app purchases of freemium apps.

You can see some before-and-after comparisons below.

One Response to “Leaked screenshots show off revamped Play Store designs – bigger, bolder, clearer”

  1. its seems pretty nice but rather than “design” i want play store to have app store categorizing details. Apps categorizing in play store seems just like… a mess.
