OnePlus 12R at $530 headlines Thursday’s best deals, OG Pixel Watch at $180, more

Thursday’s best deals include a chance to score the affordable OnePlus 12R smartphone at $530. Google’s original Pixel Watch is an even better value at $180, while Samsung’s 11-inch Galaxy Tab S9 tablet starts from $692. Hit the jump for all that and more in the latest 9to5Toys Lunch Break.

OnePlus 12R smartphone is down to $530

We are now tracking only the second-ever discount on the new OnePlus 12R. Courtesy of Amazon and directly from OnePlus, the new mid-range smartphone drops to $530 in both Iron Gray and Cool Blue colorways. The unlocked 256GB handset is $70 off the usual $600 going rate and a new all-time low. Back during the launch in February, we saw it for $30 off. Today’s offer is on the elevated capacity and not the entry-level 128GB model. We dive into how OnePlus managed to deliver more flagship-caliber specs at a midrange price over in our announcement coverage.

The new OnePlus 12R arrives as the little sibling to the standard OnePlus 12, delivering a more midrange experience centered around a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. There’s 12GB of storage and 8GB of RAM on the base model, which is joined by a 6.78-inch AMOLED display on the front with a 120Hz refresh rate. The internal 5,500mAh battery is backed by the same 80W SUPERVOOC charging as on its flagship counterpart, and around back there’s a 50MP main camera with both macro and ultrawide lens for good measure. All of that makes it a more budget-friendly option to consider compared to some of the higher-end handsets just hitting the market.

Google’s original Pixel Watch is an even better value at $180

Amazon is now offering the original Google Pixel Watch for $179.99 shipped. This is $80 off the usual $250 price tag it has been trending at lately and a new all-time low. We did see it at $0.50 more earlier in the spring, but now it undercuts even that as the best price ever. Our hands-on review explores just how all of the fitness tracking tech stacks up for daily use and how it compares to the new second-generation model.

Google Pixel Watch is the company’s first attempt at packing its usual tech into a wearable form-factor. Centered around a unique circular domed design, the watch is powered by the latest version of Wear OS and backed by all of the Fitbit prowess that Google has now come to own. Alongside being able to track workouts and other daily stats, there’s also sleep and heart rate monitoring to complement the heart rhythm assessment for detecting AFib with the built-in ECG tech. Google also just rolled out a new Fitbit Workout UI to the wearable – so it’s still getting updates.

Samsung’s 11-inch Galaxy Tab S9 tablet starts from $692

Amazon is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 for $691.82 shipped. This 11-inch Android tablet comes with 128GB of onboard storage and drops from its usual $800 price tag. This is the third-best offer to date and comes within $22 of the all-time low set just once before. You can save even more on the 256GB model at $791.47, down from its usual $920 going rate. This is $129 off and marking one of the best prices we’ve seen. Over at 9to5Google, we fully explore what’s new this time around across the whole Galaxy Tab S9 lineup.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab S9 is the latest addition to its lineup of tablets and just launched last month. The new release comes centered around an 11-inch AMOLED display, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip inside. There’s plenty of modern features packed into the Android experience, like Wi-Fi 6E, as well as support for the included S Pen, an IP68 water-resistance rating, and 128GB or more of storage.
