YouTube TV has a ton of live channels and thousands of hours of on-demand content, and now the platform is giving customers an extra bonus. Starting this week, YouTube TV customers are getting EPIX for free.
EPIX, the premium video network available on cable, satellite, and over the web, is releasing its channel for Android TV today, it announced in a press release. The channel will offer four live EPIX channel feeds as well as streaming access to thousands of movies, comedy events, and more.
Google has just announced an expanded casting queue for Chromecast with the addition of seven news apps for streaming your favorite shows, sports, games and movies. The new arrivals this holiday season include Comedy Central, Sesame Street Go, Nickelodeon, EPIX, YuppTV and Encore, while TuneIn provides access to international radio stations and millions of podcasts. Verizon and Redbox confirmed on the official Redbox Instant Twitter account that the new unlimited streaming service is rolling out gradually starting today. The $8-per-month Netflix competitor will provide unlimited streaming and four physical DVD or Blu-ray rentals ($9 a month for Blu-ray) and will be available through the browser as well as mobile apps. A Redbox Instant by Verizon Android app is already available on Google Play. There is also a free one-month trial included.
