Google Pixel Watch

Bands have been by far the biggest headache of owning a Pixel Watch, at least for me. Google’s first-party collection is surprisingly expansive, but also pricey. In the third-party space, options are often limited or of low quality, but I recently picked up a super cheap Pixel Watch band that feels just as good as Google’s “Active Sport” band, but at a fraction of the price.

Following the announcement this morning, Google is rolling out the December 2025 update to the Pixel Watch 4, 3, and 2.

With Wear OS 6, Google promised “more consistent always-on behavior” (AOD), and the Pixel Watch is starting to do this across three key experiences, including the Timer app.

Code within some Google apps suggests that the Pixel Watch series is not only taking notes from the Apple Watch with new pinch gestures coming, but also reviving a lost but not forgotten Android Wear gesture.

The band situation with Pixel Watch has always been rough, especially if you want a nice leather band. But, finally, the day has come, as Nomad is now shipping a premium leather band for Pixel Watch that’s absolutely worth a look.

With Wear OS 6 not available on the Pixel Watch, Google is rolling out an October 2025 update to the original device.

At the moment, Wear OS 6 on the Pixel Watch 4, 3, and 2 does not support always-on display Media Controls, but that is coming soon.

Ahead of the Pixel Watch 4 officially going on sale tomorrow, Google is rolling out Wear OS 6 to the Pixel Watch 2 and 3.

Google already refreshed the Pixel Watch app on Android phones with some M3 Expressive earlier this month, but the latest update brings more tweaks and a new homescreen icon.

Following the last release in April that brought Wear OS 5.1 to all users, Google is releasing a June 2025 update to all Pixel Watch owners.

Google is preparing a couple of new Pixel Watch features, including the ability to lock your phone when you leave it behind, as well as stopping accidental touches in the water.

The cell network that offers all of the coverage without the extra cost of mainstream cellular services is now making itself a little more enticing. Visible’s best plan now includes network coverage for Android smartwatches, like the Pixel Watch series.

With Wear OS 5.1, Google changed the behavior of Touch Lock on the Pixel Watch. 

After teasing with the March 2025 Feature Drop, Google has rolled out rich media controls for the Pixel Watch.
