With about half a billion dollars between production and marketing campaigns, it is no wonder that ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ marketing and merchandise can be found all over the place. The movie directed by Zack Snyder features two of the most popular superheroes of all time, whose masked versions are just as famous as their ‘real life’ counterparts.
In a promotion for today’s release, a new Google Maps tour will allow you to step inside billionaire Bruce Wayne’s home…
While cities in the DC Comics’ universe are generally fictional, their location is more or less known, and the Caped Crusader’s home, Gotham, is often situated in the proximity of New Jersey and New York City; according to Google, however, Batman’s residence in the movie looks to be in an abandoned road in south-east Michigan.
What may be of interest for you, however, is the inside; the glass-walled lakeside home looks just as beautiful, clean and elegant as it does in the film, but it’s the extra tidbit that will get fans excited. As you roam inside the bachelor pad, you may notice that a dark tunnel gives you access to a hidden area.
You guessed it: it is indeed the Batcave, in all of its movie glory. An exact replica of the set used for the shooting is freely explorable right on Maps, including the stunning Batmobile, the Dark Knight’s armour and even the mysterious, possibly Joker-daubed suit hanging behind the glass.
‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ is out today in theatres worldwide.
