Google yesterday launched Google+ Pages, a blogging platform for businesses and brands. In addition to Google’s own pages, dozens of top brands have joined Google’s initiative by creating official pages on the Google+ network. And with Direct Connect, people can search for pages directly at Google.com, simply by preceding their query with the plus sign, and even automatically add Google+ pages to their circles from Google Search.
But one thing is strictly not allowed: Promotions. Google will not tolerate giveaways, contests and other promotional content on Google+ pages.
