If you’re like me, you live your day heavily by your calendar, and Google is making that experience a little more efficient. Google is updating Google Calendar on both Android and iOS with new smart suggestions as well as 54 new country-based holiday calendars.
Smart suggestions will recommend titles of events, locations, and contacts. This will be available in over 30 languages. It is as easy as titling an event or adding a location, then Google calendar will autocomplete the rest. You can tap Google’s suggestions or keep writing.
Country-based holiday calendars are extremely useful, and this makes it easier than searching the web for the correct subscription link. With the addition to these 54 calendars, you can now add up to 143 holiday calendars directly to your mobile calendar.
Just follow Google’s steps to add some new calendars:
- Open the Google Calendar app
- In the top left, touch the Menu icon > Settings > Holidays.
- Touch the name of the current country.
- Touch a new country to add it, or touch the currently selected country to remove it.
When adding in compelling features like these, it personally saves me time and makes me work more efficient. This will also remind me to be a good friend to all my international friends. The update is available for Android right now, and will be for iOS this week, so go download it.
