Following yesterday’s announcement, Google is widely rolling out the new Pixel VIPs widget to the Pixel 6+ on Android 16 (and QPR1).

On mobile, Gemini in Google Workspace has been limited to the Gmail app, but it’s now coming to Google Docs for Android.

Google Pixel owners on Sunday evening unexpectedly received an app update for something called “Pixel VIPs.”

After previewing at I/O 2025, Google is beginning to test AI Mode’s new “Search Live” experience. Powered by Project Astra (just like Gemini Live), it lets you have a real-time conversation with Google. 

After testing first got underway in November of 2024, Google Messages is now widely rolling out a big redesign of the gallery and camera interface. 

At I/O 2025, Google previewed a number of upcoming features for AI Mode, and the ability to create interactive charts is now in testing.

In addition to the 2.5 Pro model update today, Google is also rolling out some UI tweaks to the Gemini app on Android, including a swipe left gesture for Live.

After widely rolling out camera and screen sharing to Android and iOS last week, Google is adding real-time captions to Gemini Live.

Google today released an “upgraded preview” of Gemini 2.5 Pro that will soon be generally available in the coming weeks.

More Google Messages beta users now have the Material 3 Expressive redesign of the chat interface, while it’s also beginning to appear on the app’s homepage.

Following last month’s update, Google is continuing to round the corners of various interface elements in Chrome for Android, with version 137 today focusing on menus.
