Googler says Android 5.1.1 OTA updates for Nexus 9 ‘aren’t far out’

Android 5.1.1 was first released for the Nexus Player more than a week ago, and just yesterday the update finally reached the the Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013 WiFi models) and the Nexus 10. But one device, the flagship Nexus 9 tablet, still hasn’t even received plain-old Android 5.1—which first started rolling out in early March. Now, a Google employee has come out on Google+ to say that 5.1.1 for the “N9 OTAs aren’t far out.”

WSJ: Luxottica working with Google on next version of Glass, device will be ‘out soon’

According to a report this morning from The Wall Street Journal, Italian eyewear giant Luxottica is moving forward with work in partnership with Google on the next generation of Glass. The next version is “in the works,” and will be “out soon,” according Statements from Luxottica CEO Massimo Vian on Friday.

LG’s Nexus 4 sells out on Google Play within minutes of launch

The LG Nexus 4 just became available in the United States, but the Google Play store already sold out of the 8 GB and 16 GB models.

Google made the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 available to customers in the U.S. through Google Play at about 11:45 a.m. today. The 16 GB model was the first to sell out at around noon, while the 8 GB model ran out of stock at about 12: 10 p.m.

Like the U.S. variant, the United Kingdom’s Nexus 4 also sold out within 30 minutes of going live earlier this morning.
