Google Play now has a dedicated section for offline games

Not all Android games are created equally. Some file downloads are massive and well over a gigabyte in size, while others only require a few megabytes to get you up and running. The most perplexing thing about mobile games is that some titles require a connection to the internet, even after you’ve installed the game to your device.

Aware of this issue, Google has created a new section at the Play Store that’s completely dedicated to offline gaming. There you’ll find titles like Asphalt 8, Assassin’s Creed Pirates and Dots ready to play without the need of a network connection. As of right now there’s only 54 games available in Google Play’s new fold, but that should be more than enough content to keep you amused during a lengthly flight or any other time you find yourself off the grid.
