Would you buy a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 if you knew it wouldn’t explode? [Poll]

A report emerged this morning claiming that Samsung might bring back the Galaxy Note 7. This is exciting news as the Note 7 was one of the best selling and most popular smartphones of 2016. So popular, in fact, that Samsung had to roll out firmware updates that intentionally bricked handsets so that owners would actually return their possibly dangerous devices.

With Samsung potentially selling refurbished models of the Note 7, would you consider buying one?

There is a slight catch to this story, though. The report that surfaced out of Korea today suggests that if Samsung were to resurrect the Note 7, it would only be in select markets such as Vietnam and India. If this is true, it would be disappointing to everyone who had previously owned the popular handset and might consider purchasing it up again. If nothing else, there would most likely be a way to import the Note 7 but at a cost to the buyer.

According to today’s report, Samsung would ensure that the refurbished units it sold were safe by replacing the 3,500mAh originally included in the device with a smaller 3,200mAh cell. Samsung’s investigation into the Note 7 explosions determined that the root cause was the fact that the batteries were too big for the limited space within the phone. A smaller mAh battery would hopefully fix this problem.

So would you buy a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 if given the opportunity? Answer the poll below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
