Although it’s been nearly two months since its launch event, Google’s still facing some heat in the aftermath of the Pixel 10’s arrival on store shelves. What started out as simple disappointment over the state of Tensor — following two years of what I can only describe as Tensor G5 overhype — ballooned into full-on outrage in the face of a Genshin Impact-inspired controversy that may or may not have been a controversy after all. Simply put, people are mad about what Tensor isn’t, rather than feeling satisfied with what Tensor actually is.

Ahead of the Pixel Watch 4 launching next week, the majority of Google’s Wear OS apps now have Material 3 Expressive redesigns, with Home and Keep being the most recent updates.

The Material 3 Expressive redesign of Google Wallet for Android is finally seeing a wider rollout today. 

Following the initial rollout, Google apps have been adding to or refining their Material 3 Expressive redesigns. Google Drive might now be toning down one aspect of M3 Expressive.

As part of the upcoming M3 Expressive redesign, Google Clock for Wear OS has new app icons for Alarm, Stopwatch, and Timer.

After the initial wave of M3 Expressive, the Gmail for Android redesign continues by placing each email in a container.

In addition to the broader Material 3 Expressive update, Google Drive is redesigning the editor you get after using the document scanner.

The Google Chrome interface has remained remarkably consistent over the years, and the Android browser is now getting Material 3 Expressive tweaks to match other first-party apps.
