Google shared today that Android and Chrome have set “new performance records” for mobile web browsing.

Following the announcement in January, Google is now bringing Personal Intelligence to free users in the Gemini app, Gemini in Chrome, and AI Mode.

Google is updating Chrome on Android tablets and foldables to be more like the desktop version by adding the bookmarks bar. 

Seemingly out of nowhere, the “Save image as Type” Chrome extension was marked for removal, with Google warning users that the extension contains malware. The extension had at least one million users.

Following Mac and Windows versions, Google Chrome will soon support ARM64 Linux devices.

GFiber (previously known as Google Fiber) has entered into an agreement with Stonepeak to combine the company with Astound Broadband into a single cohesive internet provider.

After the US launch last year and big update this January, Gemini in Chrome is now coming to Canada, India, and New Zealand, as well as adding support for over 50 languages.
