After a previous partnership announcement, Google has revealed new details on its Google Photos app for Samsung TVs, which is available on the latest models.

Google Photos has become much more than a way to manage and backup your photos and videos, especially in the age of AI. Not everyone needs — or, more accurately, wants — to trigger these functions on a regular basis, though, and a new update to the app is helping to eliminate those annoying, unwanted pop-ups.

Unlimited Google Photos storage was the biggest selling point of what quickly became the most popular photo storage service, but as it became hard to sustain with scale, Google pulled the plug. For a while, though, T-Mobile customers have had access to a special Google One subscription that included unlimited Google Photos storage, but it’s now dead.

Google Photos is once again tweaking its search experience, with a new quick toggle rolling out that allows users to swap back and forth between the AI-powered Ask Photos experience and classic search.

After rolling out to iOS in August, Google Photos for Android now lets you create stickers from your images.

There are a lot of reasons to use a cloud backup service like Google Photos, but one of the many perks is the ability to access your full library of photos from any device. However, a sync bug with Google Photos that’s affecting a number of users has left that ability partially broken.
