Smartphone cameras are getting ridiculously good which means, generally, that OEMs don’t have to lie or exaggerate how good their cameras are. Huawei, though, has been caught red-handed again using an expensive DSLR camera to exaggerate the quality of its smartphone, this time with the Huawei P40 Pro.
Huawei just launched its P40 series of smartphones and, as expected, it ships without any Google services. That includes the loss of Google Assistant, so Huawei created its own voice assistant by the name of “Celia,” with the unintended consequence of also waking nearby iPhones.
Huawei has finally unveiled the follow-up to the P30 Pro, with the P40 Pro focusing again on the camera setup but will rely heavily on the firm’s homegrown AppGallery.
