Google acquires mDialog to bolster DoubleClick’s video advertising

mDialog

Today, Google announced that it has acquired video advertising firm mDialog. A post on DoubleClick’s official Google+ account welcomed the ad company to the team and reaffirmed its commitment to helping publishers monetize their content.

Together, we’re committed to offering more ways for publishers to monetize live, linear and on-demand video content across all screens. While nothing’s changing for their customers immediately, over time we’ll work with the mDialog team to incorporate their technology and expertise into our DoubleClick product suite. This represents the latest of our ongoing investments in helping brands connect with high-quality video content, like Google Partner Select, our new marketplace for premium programmatic video.

Acknowledging the acquisition, mDialog said on its website that it will continue to offer services to its customers and that there are no immediate changes planned at this moment. Details of the arrangement between the two companies such as price and structure have yet to be disclosed.
