Last year, Sony revamped its smartphone design with the Xperia 10 and Xperia 1, two new smartphones that introduced 21:9 displays and interesting designs. Now Sony is rolling out Android 10 for its mid-range Xperia 10 series.
Android 10 has seen pretty quick adoption compared to some previous updates and there are many OEMs preparing their rollouts. Today, Sony has announced its Android 10 roadmap for several devices.
Sony is far from the biggest name in Android, especially in the United States. However, the company just debuted a few new devices at MWC 2019, and they’re on their way to the US. The Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus are both available for pre-order with their wacky 21:9 displays, and they’re also both certified to work on Verizon.
The Sony Xperia 1, Sony Xperia 10 and Sony Xperia 10 Plus have to be considered odd devices in many regards. For starters, we weren’t really able to actually use the Xperia 1 during the official MWC 2019 launch as the software is still very much in an unfinished state, but we did get to see what the device can offer up close and in person.

The Xperia 1 is Sony’s flagship device of MWC 2019, but the phone maker is also bringing the marquee aspect down to the mid-range. The Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus feature tall 21:9 displays as well as dual-camera systems.
Sony doesn’t see much success from its smartphone division, but the company does manage to create some new and interesting devices from time to time. Ahead of MWC 2019, we’re getting our first peek at the Sony Xperia XA3, the first smartphone from the company with a ridiculous 21:9 display.
We’ve caught our first look at the Sony Xperia XA3. Fresh on the heels of the Xperia XA2 and XA2, it appears that the XA3 will bring trimmed top and bottom bezels for the first time on a mid-range Sony smartphone.
