At MWC we were told that we would see the first OnePlus device to include 5G connectivity. Well, that kind of turned out to be true as we have seen a OnePlus 5G prototype device that was connected to a 5G network and streaming games from the cloud streaming service Shadow. expand full story

At last year’s MWC, Google announced that their Flutter app development SDK was ready to move from alpha to beta testing. Today at MWC 2019, Flutter is getting its second stable release, version 1.2, combined with the release of version 2.2 of the Dart programming language.

The LG V50 ThinQ looks to be a great handset and has all the hallmarks of an excellent device. The problem is that unlike the LG G8 ThinQ, it really doesn’t have any truly standout features unless you count the optional folding gamepad as part of the entire package.

Qualcomm expands Quick Charge to wireless chargers, including Qi compatibility

Qualcomm has a strong presence at MWC 2019, with their chips powering many of the biggest newly announced devices. As phones are continuing to shift away from traditional wired charging to wireless charging, Qualcomm is also updating their Quick Charge technology to be compatible with Qi and other wireless chargers.

Following yesterday’s MWC 2019 announcement that more phones will feature dedicated hardware buttons, Google is expanding where users can access Assistant. It will soon be available in Messages for Android, and coming to more languages in Google Maps.
