Samsung Gear S3 reportedly coming this fall, with luxury de Grisogono version to follow

Albeit still not as popular as smartphones, smartwatches are indeed making their way to the market as gadgets with ever increased functionalities — like the recently announced CoWatch and its Amazon Alexa integration — but at the same time trying to appeal to classic timepiece customers as well.

Samsung is an OEM trying to please both audiences: according to The Korea Herald, Swiss watchmaker de Grisogono has confirmed to be working with the consumer electronics giant again in order to bring to the market a luxury version of the yet-to-be-announced Gear S3, supposedly coming next March…

Samsung’s CES 2016 press conference starts at 2 PM PT, tune in here [Livestream]

Samsung is up next for CES press day, following a very Android- and Google-heavy Huawei event. This event isn’t expected to be nearly as exciting, however, as Samsung has a wide variety of products spanning many categories to mention. Just like last year, I wouldn’t be surprised if we heard about Samsung services, some connected home products, some televisions, and maybe a new variant of a smartwatch (the Gear S2 this time, likely)…

Rumor: Samsung’s Gear S2 Classic coming in new platinum and rose gold variants

This is definitely in the realm of “unsubstantiated rumors,” but it looks like the popular Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch — which runs a custom build of Tizen and sports a rotating dial on its bezel — is getting a couple new colors. This comes from a WinFuture.de writer on Twitter, suggesting that the two new variants will be in “platinum” and “rose gold” colors for the Gear S2 Classic version of the watch…

Samsung Gear S2 picks up AT&T’s NumberSync feature through update

AT&T first announced its new NumberSync feature back in October and said it’d come first to Samsung’s Gear S2 which launched on the network last month.

Today AT&T says NumberSync is rolling out through an update to Gear S2 smartwatches, marking the first product to pick up the new feature which lets you share your real smartphone phone number with other connected devices to make calls and texts simple.

Existing customers can get NumberSync on Gear S2 through a software update. New customers can enjoy NumberSync upon initial setup.

NumberSync lets you send and receive texts1, as well as make and receive calls, from your smartwatch2 using the same mobile number that your family, friends and colleagues already recognize.

NumberSync operates on the AT&T wireless network and is not dependent on a Bluetooth connection to your smartphone. You can even use it when your smartphone is off or disconnected from the network.

AT&T is also temporarily offering the Gear S2 for $99 on a two-year contract, $100 off the regular contact price. Check out our Gear S2 unboxing and review video here.

Samsung Gear S2 unboxing and review [Video]

Today we’re taking a closer look at Samsung’s Gear S2. This new smartwatch was announced just last month during IFA 2015 and has been the talk of the town lately. We took a first look at it not too long ago and compared it with one of the other top smartwatches on the market, but it’s finally available to purchase. Either way, the Gear S2 is shaping up to be one of the top dogs in smartwatches thanks to some of its unique features — which surprisingly have nothing to do with Android Wear. Yep… this little guy is running Tizen and for the first time, I absolutely love it…

Samsung Gear S2 likely to be released on October 2nd in US, 3G model restricted to America and Korea initially

Samsung’s recently announced Gear S2 has stirred a lot of attention for itself over the past few weeks. The sleek, round design, attractive user interface, rotating bezel and non-discriminatory Android support all sets it up nicely to be one of this year’s most desired wearables. Samsung is yet to announce when the device will hit retail stores in the States, but if a leaked internal training video is anything to go by, it looks as though the company is prepping for an October 2 release…

Samsung Gear S2 vs S2 Classic: hands-on and first impressions [Video]

Today we’re taking a look at Samsung’s new Gear S2 and S2 Classic. If you’ve been in the market for a new Android Wear smartwatch, you may want to hold out for one of these instead.  The Gear S2 is standard model that looks a little sporty, but definitely feels great in the build department, while the S2 Classic will give you more of, well, a classic watch style…

Samsung teases round Gear S2 smartwatch, unveiling on September 3rd at IFA

With Samsung deciding to host its own event to launch the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ today, we assumed the company was ditching IFA altogether. Turns out that’s not the case.
