With Google My Maps, you can customize Google Maps for your own unique personal uses. You can create a map, (on which you can then draw lines, shapes, or placemarks), import a CSV, TSV, KML, KMZ, GPX, or XLSX file with geographically-specific data, organize your map with layers to hide or show different kinds of content, and style your content with different colors, placemark icons, and line widths.
Google is preparing to shut down its My Maps app on Android this October in favor of only supporting the web app.

Due to COVID-19, much of the world has turned to the internet for work, learning, communication, and entertainment. Another area is relief and aid, with Google reporting a surge in My Maps usage.
My Maps is a handy tool that allows users to label and makes notes on top of Google Maps. Users can access their annotated maps from the full Maps app, but need to go to the My Maps website or use the mobile app to make edits. Today, the Android My Maps app has been redesigned in its first update since 2014.
Google’s My Maps product was launched all the way back in 2007 and still isn’t very well known, but it’s a really cool service for Apps customers and it’s receiving even more attention now with a quick-access button inside Google Drive.
