The G3 has been at the center of various leaks over the past month, but the latest is the most complete. A leaked image earlier this month hinted that Sony had plans to introduce its rumored Xperia i1, codenamed “Honami,” at an event scheduled for September 4th during IFA in Berlin. Today, Xperiablog points us to another set of photos posted on Digi-Wo showing what is reportedly the Honami handset in white. You get a sense of its size in some comparison shots next to the iPhone 5. We already knew a new white version of the Nexus 4 would begin rolling out after LG confirmed as much earlier this week. It first launched in Hong Kong on Wednesday, and today the device has finally hit both Google Play and T-Mobile’s online store for customers in the US.
You can grab the device now in both 16GB ($349) and 8GB ($299) variants from Google Play. Google is also offering a free white bumper with your purchase.
PhoneArenaclaims to have the first photo of a white Nexus 4. The picture shows just the back of the device, and it is the only proof we have a unicorn version of the phone existing. A white Nexus 4 wouldn’t be a huge surprise, though, as both the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus launched in black and later in white. It’s unclear at the moment if, like the previous Nexus, the body will be white with a black bezel or if it will follow the footsteps of the iPhone and Galaxy S line and be entirely white. PhoneArena has no rumored launch date for the device, as it could just be quietly added to the Play Store or formally launched at I/O in May.
UPDATE: Vietnamese website Tinhte posted a huge gallery of the white Nexus 4. It looks as though the white covers the back and sides of the phone, but the front bezel is black. Check out just a few of the images below.
