LG G3 and VR headset giveaway (Winners selected)

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTozuo5ocoM]

Virtual reality has consumer the smartphone market lately. It seems like every manufacturer is coming out with a smartphone compatible VR headsets. Recently, LG sent us its new VR for G3 headset to take a look at and we’ve been having a blast so far. Think of LG’s new VR headset as a premium version of Google Cardboard that’s tailored to fit the G3 in every way. It’s a very nice upgrade over Cardboard and the app selection for VR in Google Play is growing rapidly.

This whole VR movement is very cool, but it’s hard to explain in words what it’s actually like to use a VR headset. It’s just one of those things that you need to experience yourself. Well, thanks to the good people over at LG, we’re giving you a chance to win one of five LG G3 and VR headset packages…

Motorola’s Yo-based Moto 360 giveaway went exactly as planned

Motorola recently concluded a giveaway for its upcoming Moto 360. The giveaway was a collaboration between Motorola and Yo app which was announced yesterday with a very simple rule. First, download and install Yo on your device, then send Motorola a Yo and wait until Aug. 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. CT. Easy enough, right?

Motorola would then send a Yo link to all entrants and the first 20 people to click the link would win a Moto 360. Well, that’s kind of how it seemed, but that wasn’t actually the case. Motorola successfully sent a Yo link to all who initially entered, but it was a bit more complicated than just clicking a link.

HTC First Mother’s Day giveaway from 9to5Google and @ATT

Site default logo image

You may not want an HTC First Facebook Android phone but your mom probably does. So AT&T and 9to5Google are giving you a chance to win one with no contract or obligations (You can also get one ON CONTRACT for $1).

Mother’s Day is right around the corner and AT&T is celebrating moms with a fun, shareable video e-card for a special edition of the popular “It’s Not Complicated” campaign. In a new rendition of the commercial that will air Friday through Sunday, mediator Beck Bennett strays from his usual, “what’s better, bigger or smaller?” and instead asks, “who gives the best hugs?” to a unanimous response – mom does! The video e-card can be personalized, offering consumers a simple Mother’s Day themed e-card video, with Beck and the kids, to share with mom via social media (Twitter, Facebook, email). Make your own personalized version of the “It’s Not Complicated, Moms are the Best” video e-card at ATTMothersDay.com.

You know the rules: To enter, simply follow @9to5Google and retweet this post telling us why your mom would love an HTC First Facebook phone.

We’ll pick the winner on Mother’s Day.

Update: We have a winner!
