Quality OnePlus 3 press render leak seemingly confirms full-metal design, AMOLED display

oneplus-3

A fresh press render has leaked this morning courtesy of the fount-of-all-leaks, Evan Blass, showing the OnePlus 3 in a much more flattering light than the recent prototype leaks. The image seemingly confirms OnePlus’ move away from the replaceable plastic rear panels, with the company intent on releasing a metal-bodied device.

HTC is going to announce a brand new phone at some point in the next couple of months, and will likely release the next generation flagship HTC One-series phone. While the device is likely to keep the trademark unibody metal chassis, it’s rumored to be moving away from the ‘One’ moniker, and will be named the ‘HTC 10’.

leeco phone

Chinese company LeEco (previously LeTV) hasn’t launched a phone in the United States yet, but reports from last year say that that’s probably going to change soon. Hopefully, when they do, this is the phone that they’ll launch. We’ve recently gotten our hands on these official LeEco-made renders depicting a future phone concept, sporting a Samsung-like edge screen, and a sleek all-metal buttonless design…

galaxy-s7-edge

Having seen a few leaks already over the past few weeks, it’s fair to say there’s little left to the imagination when it comes to what Samsung will announced this coming Sunday. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are expected to take on a design very similar to the S6 family, albeit slightly more curvy and perhaps a little thicker.

New LG V10 render leak shows secondary ticker display

lg-v10-ticker-display

A few weeks ago, an unreleased and unnamed LG device passed through TENAA, China’s version of the FCC. The images showed what seemed to be an unremarkable device albeit one with the unusual design choice of having the front-facing camera built into the display. Later on it was revealed by Evan Blass (@evleaks) that there would be a secondary ticker display running along the top of the primary display.

Today, the well-known leaker is back with what looks like an official press render of that device, confirming that speculation…

Third OnePlus smartphone allegedly shows up in sketchy render leak

oneplus-mini-x

Pinch of salt at the ready? A leaked render published this morning seemingly shows what OnePlus’ second phone of the year will look like, and it seems a bit of a change from the angular, flat frames and edges of the current devices. At least, it does from the back. From the front, the renders look very familiar; with the chrome-finished edges surrounding a large, flat, glossy black panel.

From the back, the smartphone seems to be a solid piece of plastic with slightly rounded edges and corners. The bottom edge looks to be hosting a USB Type-C connector, flanked by two identical sets of machined holes, presumably for the microphone and single loudspeaker like the OnePlus 2.

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact shows up in leaked promo image

xperia-z5-compact-press-image-leak

A fresh, official-looking, image of the upcoming Xperia Z5 Compact has shown up in a new leaked promotional photo courtesy of Dutch tech blog, TechTastic. There’s nothing entirely remarkable about the image itself, but the very fact the device is showing up in promotional images prior to launch is a good indication that Sony is preparing its marketing ready for its arrival.

Android-powered BlackBerry Venice render leaks, keyboard exposed

blackberry-venice-keyboard-extended

BlackBerry has been rumored to be working on an Android phone for quite some time. In fact, almost as soon as its CEO John Chen teased the portrait slider dubbed ‘Venice’, it was predicted it might run Google’s operating. We’ve seen a leaked render showing the front of the device with what looks like stock Android. We’ve even seen slides showing off some of the BlackBerry-inspired user interface elements. What we haven’t seen yet is that ever-elusive keyboard.

Fresh BlackBerry ‘Venice’ renders leaked, again hint at Android presence

blackberry-venice-renders
We’ve been hearing a lot about BlackBerry’s long-rumored Android smartphone over the past few months. In fact, almost as soon as BlackBerry teased the ‘Venice’ slider back at MWC in Barcelona, it was rumored that the upcoming device would ship with Google’s OS onboard. A previous render showed a pretty clear image of Android running on the BlackBerry slider, and now some more official-looking images appear via CrackBerry to hint at a Google-powered system.

New images of the 2015 Moto G leak out, give us our best look yet [Gallery]

laptopmedia3

It seems like Motorola might be the new lead contender for worst-secret-keeper-ever. As I said earlier this week, we’ve seen renders, more renders, real photos, more real photos, and even more real photos of the 2015 Moto G leak over the last couple of months. And now, thanks to some new almost-certainly-legit photos (via LaptopMedia), we have what is now our best look yet at the new Moto G…

Fresh Galaxy Note 5 renders published, look fantastic

Samsung-Galaxy-Note5-Rendus-3D-00

Samsung is rumored to be launching the Galaxy Note 5 towards the end of August, trying to get a jump on Apple and its other competitors ahead of the holiday season. If rumors and drawings are to be believed, the 5th-gen Galaxy Note will look like a large version of the Galaxy S6 and might even launch alongside a Galaxy S6 Edge+.

In recent weeks and months we’ve seen a handful of leaked schematics and 3D CAD models for the upcoming phablet. Few, however, come close to the quality in these latest 3D renders published on NWE. If this is the device Samsung plans on launching — and by all accounts that is looking very likely — these are as near official press renders as we’ll get until Samsung actually announces the phablet. Or until someone leaks the official images early.

Along with those posts, NWE posted a more basic image showing a size comparison between the Galaxy S6, Note 5 and S6 Edge+.

Galaxy-VS-04

It’s good to see Samsung unifying its product lineup by making them look like each other. Also, I do still hope there’s something at least a little different about the Note. In previous years, Samsung has used different materials to differentiate the Note from the Galaxy S. This year, ignoring the S Pen, there appears to be little unique about its design.

New 2015 Moto G renders look better than real thing, but still thick with lackluster specs

Steve Hemmerstoffer, otherwise known as the infamous @OnLeaks on Twitter, has posted some new images online (translated URL) that purportedly show an updated 2015 Moto G, the budget smartphone from Motorola that comes in just above the really-budget Moto E. Hemmerstoffer is well known for having leaked accurate renders of the LG G4 months before it was unveiled by the company, and has as of late posted renders of new Samsung Note and Galaxy Tab S iterations.

Supposed renders of Sony’s Xperia Z4 smartphone leak out

In case you didn’t catch it, Steve Hemmerstoffer of the well-known French site Nowhereelse.fr has started his own Twitter account specifically dedicated to leaks: @onleaks. He’s been really cranking them out lately, and recently showed us some purported press renders of the LG G4. He has a relatively decent track record, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see some of these things turn out to be legitimate…

Today, he has come out to show us a render of what he claims is Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z4 smartphone:

CAORiI6WEAAizY_

Looking at the visual appearance of the software, it lines up pretty well with what can be found on the Xperia Z4 tablet that Sony launched earlier this month. The design of the clock, as well as the icons below (Video, Album, etc.) are all identical to their tablet counterparts—and they’re arranged similarly as well. The design of the device itself is notably unexciting, however, and it’s not much of a departure from its predecessor. (But that seems to be a common thread this year.)

Update: Hemmerstoffer has posted some more renders…

We told you this morning that Sony is finally launching Android Lollipop on the company’s 2014 flagship, the Xperia Z3.
