December Feature Drop: Pixel 6 Pro UWB, adjust Assistant long press, Pixel Buds A-Series bass slider, & more

Given that this year’s big Android release rolled out to Pixel phones later than expected, there was no quarterly update that bundled together new user-facing capabilities in September. Google is now back with a Pixel Feature Drop to accompany Android 12 and the December security patch.

The June update for Pixel phones is coming later than usual this month, but it does bring a Feature Drop that’s more packed than recent releases. December Pixel Feature Drop: Adaptive Sound, Connectivity, Charging, and better GPS for Pixel 5

Alongside the December security patch, Made by Google is closing 2020 with a Pixel Feature Drop. Coming three months after the last release that coincided with Android 11, the Pixel 5 picks up a slate of new “Adaptive” features, as well as improved GPS. Google is also bringing several newer features to older devices.

Following the inaugural update last December and sequel in March, Google today is releasing the third Pixel Feature Drop alongside the June security patch. This Android 10 update delivers several new features to the Personal Safety and Recorder app, as well as underlying services like Adaptive Battery.

Google Pay to support adding flight boarding passes w/ screenshot, only on Pixel

The second Pixel Feature Drop is here and it brings a ton of new features with it, including one for Google Pay. Alongside the new “Cards and Passes” power menu option, Google Pay on select Pixel devices can add flight boarding passes using nothing more than a screenshot.
