Snapchat introduces new Geostickers feature as another way to customize images and messages

Geostickers are location-based overlays that can be applied to images before they are sent, as well as sent via the messaging feature of Snapchat.

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge was the world’s best-selling Android phone during the first half of 2016

According to new data from Strategy Analytics, Samsung’s dominance in the mobile market has continued to rise this year. The data shows that the company’s Galaxy S7 Edge was the world’s top-selling Android device during the first half of 2016, with estimated shipments of 13.3 million units.

Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 has drop protection up to 5.2 ft, likely headed to future Android phones

Corning, the company behind the popular Gorilla Glass brand, today announced the next iteration of its cover glass for mobile displays, a likely candidate for future Android devices. Corning says that Gorilla Glass 5 survives drops onto rough surfaces four times better than other solutions, noting that clarity of the display and touch sensitivity are not affected.

BitTorrent announces new BitTorrent Now app for Android

Google shares new ‘Pride for Everyone’ video showcasing Pride parades from 25 countries

In a post on the official Google blog this evening, Google has announced a new Pride for Everyone initiative to encourage everyone to “be who you are and love who you love.” As part of the initiative, Google has released a new 360 degree video that contains footage from Googlers in 25 countries marching in local Pride parades.
