Recode reports that Uber CEO Travis Kalanick asked Singhal to resign after learning of a sexual harassment allegation that occurred prior to his departure form Google last February…

Now, we’re getting a look at the first official-looking press renders of the phone with views from all sides…
‘Oreo Dunk Challenge’ is the most solid evidence yet that Android ‘O’ will indeed be Oreo [Gallery]
Oreo has today rolled out a new mobile game — or marketing campaign, depending on how you look at it — called the “Oreo Dunk Challenge”. Essentially, the game uses a variety of mobile web technologies, including some from Google, to let players fling a virtual Oreo across the world for the ultimate dunk into a glass of milk thousands of miles away.
It’s an amusing concept, but it’s all the more interesting when you realize just how much the Mountain View company had to do with its inception…
It’s not just you: YouTube is down for many [Updated]
Update: All seems to be back in order.

Opinion: Google, why can’t you just let people backorder the unlocked Pixel?
Stock for the Google Pixel, which launched almost 5 months ago, is still hit or miss. As of the time of this writing, the 5-inch Pixel is completely out of stock on the Google Store and the 5.5-inch Pixel XL is almost completely out of stock as well. There was one random day this month that stock suddenly reappeared in full, but the story since October has been mostly just that: random.
While any company as big and with as many resources as Google should definitely have been able to figure out stock for the phone by this point — 4 and a half months after launch — I think the complaints of many would be somewhat mitigated if the Google would just let customers backorder the phone and quote some future shipping date…

PSA: AT&T’s LG G5 is now receiving Android 7.0 Nougat
Android Nougat has been creeping its way into a few carrier handsets in the last week, most recently just this morning with the Sprint HTC 10. Now, that trend continues with word (via Android Police) that the AT&T LG G5 is also getting updated to the latest version of Google’s mobile OS…
Hiroshi Lockheimer’s continued Android ‘Oreo’ teasing probably means nothing
Hiroshi Lockheimer, the sitting Senior Vice President of Android at Google, has always been a bit of a tease. Whether it’s teasing potential names of 2018’s Android release or potential names for last year’s Android release, the guy just doesn’t stop. Now, he has hit Twitter with perhaps his most blatant tweet yet regarding the name of the forthcoming Android release…
