Google’s G Suite adds action items, advanced voice commands, Slack integration for Drive, & more
Google is today updating its G Suite of apps, formerly known as Google Apps for work, with a handful of new productivity features. Among them, users will get access to new advanced voice commands, Slack integration for Google Docs and Drive, and a handful of other new features for collaboration with forms, Docs, Sheets and Slides.
As for the new voice commands, G Suite will now offer a number of new commands for formatting text including changing text color, deleting words, inserting links and comments. Google has a full list of newly supported commands here.
Also new for G Suite is Action Items and Suggested Action items to assign tasks for users in any of the G Suite apps:

Following an announcement from T-Mobile earlier today, AT&T has now confirmed that preorders for LG’s new V20 flagship smartphone will kick off tomorrow Oct. 7 ahead of a launch on Oct. 28. AT&T has also revealed pricing in the process, putting the full retail price of the V20 at $830 in the U.S. through its various AT&T Next installment plan options.
WhatsApp now lets you add text, emojis and draw on photos and video
WhatsApp today announced an update for the app that give users new ways to edit photos and videos.
The new camera features include the ability to write and draw directly on a photo or video, as well as add emojis to them.

AOL launches new Alto email app on Android
AOL is launching an Alto mobile app today for Android (and iOS) that aims to offer a new spin on email. AOL’s new app features a single dashboard that intelligently organizes the most important info from your email, calendar and elsewhere.
Alto, which was previously available on the desktop for a limited number of testers, hopes you’ll want to ditch the traditional inbox-format for email, serving up the most important info from emails in card-form in what it refers to as the Dashboard.
