Spotted by DroidLife, Best Buy this morning accidentally published the product page of the Moto 360 on their mobile site. The listing shows the smartwatch priced at $249.99, the same price we heard from Motorola when the price was accidentally published on its own product page. The page also lists a near-full spec sheet of the device, which states the watch will be waterproof at 3.3ft for up to 30 minutes, feature a vibrating motor, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Photos of the upcoming successor to the Moto G have leaked online this morning, along with a barebones specification sheet. 1068 XT is the model number to the new device says MallandonoAndroid, also stating that the device’s official name is “Moto G 2nd generation”.

A handful of leaked photos have surfaced online this afternoon that provide a first look at what is allegedly the Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone, which is expected to launch later this year. The photos were posted by users on the Chinese discussion forums Digi-wo and Weibo, showing off the Chinese version (model number L55t) of the upcoming smartphone. Expand Expanding Close
Leading up to Google I/O this year, we’ve seen a handful of leaks regarding the design of Android. We’ve seen redesigned apps leak, such as calendar, the dialer, and Gmail, as well as updated icons. According to a new report out of Android Police, all off these recent design leaks and updates have been apart of a new program within Google called Quantum Paper.
We’ve heard about it, now we’re seeing it. Pictured above are a set of alleged press renders for Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy Tab S 8.4 tablet. Obtained by @evleaks, this new slab kind of resembles a larger Galaxy S5, but is rumored to be a full-blown tablet. Samsung already has a giant tablet-like device that places phone calls.
Quite possibly the worst kept secret in the world of high-end smartphones, the LG G3 can’t manage to stay out of the spotlight. Today’s big leak: lockscreen widgets. These circular pieces of software are set to jive with the G3’s Quick Window cover that leaves just enough space for each item to be displayed. Revealed by @evleaks, it looks like we can expect to see options for a clock, pedometer, text messages and incoming calls.
With less than two weeks left to go until the rumored G3 announcement, we won’t have to wait long until we see the device in all of its glory. However, until then, more details continue to leak.
The latest involves the homescreen in landscape orientation. Since the device is expected to have a 5.5″ display, the screen will be closer to that of smaller tablets than that of a small phone. As such, it appears that LG will have certain features reserved for the display when it is in landscape. The above screenshot depicts the incoming call notification acting like a floating widget above the screen.
Samsung’s devices have a similar feature, though it’s unclear how useful this feature may be. Since floating widgets aren’t natively supported in Android, these types of features tend to receive very limited third-party support. Still — we’ll find out the full plan on May 27th!
We recently heard that HTC was going to spin its color wheel and offer its new flagship smartphone in a variety of colors. Already outed in pink, the often reliable @evleaks has produced photos of a blue HTC One M8.The popular Twitter feed hinted that the phone should be available this year, but didn’t provide any other details. We’re still sticking to our carrier color code theory, which would place this M8 variant on Ma Bell’s network. No matter where this blue HTC One happens to land, it’s good to know that you can still take advantage of that Harman Kardon sound. That is if you’re willing to take a few calculated risks.
When it comes to smartphones, Samsung has a history of pushing towards bigger displays, so why would the company treat tablets any differently? We’ve already seen a 12.2-inch slate from the South Korean electronics maker and according to GSMArena, an even bigger slab is already in the works. A device codenamed “Warhol” is in development and it will feature a 13.3-inch LCD with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution.
The G3 has been at the center of various leaks over the past month, but the latest is the most complete. The above photo (via PhoneArena) reportedly shows off the back of both the black and white models, and the front of what appears to be the gold model. While the photo isn’t exactly “high quality,” it does provide for a good look at the brushed metal effect of the back. Expand Expanding Close
Earlier this week, we received word that Samsung was working on an unannounced AMOLED tablet called the Galaxy Tab S. This new slate is rumored to ship in two different sizes: 8.5-inch and 10.5-inch. Pictured above is a purported shot of the latter. Obtained by SamMobile, the device’s appearance lines up with most of the recent rumors. At first glance, the Galaxy Tab S bears a strong resemblance to the Galaxy Tab Pro, however it sports a textured back similar to the Galaxy S5.
A couple of weeks ago, an ambitious software developer by the name of Florian Kiersch uncovered an unannounced Google platform known as Stars. From the looks of things, this new product is Google’s next-gen take on bookmarking content from the web. Up until now, we’ve only seen still shots of the forthcoming software, however thanks to a recent Javascript module update, Kiersch was able to gain access to parts of Stars’ web-based UI.
Earlier this month, @evleaks tweeted an image of a mysterious device dubbed the HTC M8 Ace. At the time, very few details about it were known. Engadget, however, is now reporting that the HTC M8 Ace will essentially be HTC’s answer to the Galaxy S5, but cheaper.
Much like the Galaxy S5, the M8 Ace will feature an all-plastic design. The specs will also be nearly identical, with the M8 Ace packing a 5-inch 1080p display and a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.
Last week, Google itself tweeted out an image that showed a slightly redesigned dialer app on Android. Not much appeared to be different in the app, though the action bar at the top was a new shade of blue, as opposed to gray. Now, more screenshots of a redesigned dialer app have leaked via an XDA thread.
These images show a few more changes, especially to the contacts portion of the dialer app. Instead of a list like the current dialer app, these images show a picture-heavy design with cards for each contact. If you have an image of the person, you’ll see it on the card, but if not, you’ll see a random color. Overall it looks very similar to the Gmail app and fits in well with the leaked Android app icons and calendar app.
The images come from a friend of the XDA user, who could very well be a Google employee judging by the contact names. Google has said before that it is refocusing on design, and with Google I/O 2014 right around the corner, it seems very plausible that we will see some redesigned apps be unveiled at the event.
More specs of LG’s upcoming G3 have leaked from Sprint’s device database (via PhoneArena). While a quad-HD display, 2.3 GHz SnapDragon, and 4.4.2 version of Android are all still in the cards, the profile has been updated to reflect that the device will have a 16 megapixel camera.
Until this, rumors have pointed towards the G3 having a 13 megapixel camera — LG has either upgraded the glass, or the camera will change depending upon the region the device is sold in. Either way, LG’s devices have had excellent cameras for the past year, and the G3 isn’t likely to break that trend. Expand Expanding Close
While handling some customer support, the Google Nexus Twitter account has apparently tweeted out a screenshot of a redesigned Dialer app by accident. The interface does not look all that different. The most noticeable change is that the action bar at the top of the interface blue in the leaked screenshot, whereas it is gray in the most recent build of KitKat.
Google is putting its focus back on design with the latest version of Android and at this year’s Google I/O. It would certainly make sense to introduce app redesigns at the event, too. And it looks like we can expect a new Dialer app to be one.
Earlier this month some specs that looked a lot like a next-generation Galaxy Zoom camera phone device— a followup to last year’s Galaxy S4 Zoom— appeared in benchmark results. Today we get what might be our first look at the device with a new leaked image that popped up today on a sketchy looking blog that was discovered by PhoneArena.
While it does appear to be a next-generation Galaxy Zoom, the blog that leaked the image is referring to it as the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom. Perhaps Samsung has plans to change up branding this time around or we could still be looking at a codename of sorts.
The leaker also confirms the previously leaked specs, which include a much thinner and lighter design, a 20MP shooter, 10x zoom, NFC, Android 4.4.2, a 1280×720 4.8-inch display, 2GB of RAM and a Samsung Exynos 5 Hexa CPU. The image also shows what looks a lot like the faux-leather material that Samsung has used on a lot of its recent Galaxy devices like the Note 3. Expand Expanding Close
Even though the phone won’t be released until next month, some of the Galaxy S5’s apps have been leaked online and can be installed on current Samsung devices, according to Android Police. The apps leaked include S Note, S Health, S Translator, the hardware managers for both the Galaxy Gear and the Gear Fit, Samsung Watch ON, and for all you math enthusiasts, the Calculator app.
The apps can be downloaded from the XDA thread where they were leaked, though it seems that some of them (specifically S Health) aren’t actually functional on older devices. Installing some of these packages will require a rooted phone so that old versions of the apps can be removed and replaced by the updated versions.
We’ve already seen a few leaked press shots claiming to show Nokia’s much rumored Android smartphone and UI often referred to as the “Normandy” project. Today we get what appears to be the first shots of the device in the wild and better look at the device’s mix of Lumia and Asha design traits. The images above come from a thread on Coolaxap.com where leaked images of Windows devices have popped up before.
While nothing is official, recent reports said the device could debut as early as this month at the Mobile World Congress event that runs through February 27. We’ll be bringing you coverage from MWC next week and updates on Normandy as we find out more. Expand Expanding Close
Following weeks of rumors regarding the next-generation flagship smartphone from HTC, today images of the device have leaked via reliable leakster @evleaks. The image above shows off what appears to be an evolution of the previous HTC One design with camera and flash components that line up with earlier leaks of the device. Up until now most leaks of the device have been referring to its “M8” codename. However, the tweet from evleaks seems to indicate that the device will be branded the new “HTC One 2014” edition. It also looks like at least some partners will be getting a gold version of the device.
Yesterday, HTC sent out invites for an event being held on March 25. Rumor has it the company could skip any unveilings at Mobile World Congress later this month and hold out for its own event at the end of next month.
So far rumors for the device include a 5″ 1080p display, Android 4.4 KitKat, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 800 processor, and Sense 6.0. Evleaks shared another image of the device showing off a protective case and the latest Sense homescreen (below): Expand Expanding Close
