Considering how poorly LG treats devices with regards to updates, the suggestion that the Android 10 update is heading out for the LG G8 ThinQ is impressive for a company that can barely send out Android Pie.
LG’s track record with updates lately has been pretty awful, but the company is currently working to “recover trust.” As of today, the Android 10 update for the LG G8 ThinQ is now available in the United States, and it’s starting with users on Verizon and Sprint.

The long-awaited, long-rumored LG Pay has now touched down in the US, but in typical LG fashion, is only initially available on one device — the LG G8 ThinQ.
LG is a company whose products I once adored. Over the years, though, the company has fallen behind in some major ways, and it’s paying for that dearly. Unfortunately, its new LG G8 ThinQ doesn’t do much to buck that trend. Instead, it’s a phone with some genuinely great ideas, ruined by a bunch of bad ones.

The LG G8 ThinQ was announced just a few days after the Galaxy S10, but the new flagship still isn’t on sale. Today, LG has announced that the LG G8 ThinQ will see a release in the United States on April 11th as well as confirming the official price and pre-orders.
There are very few gimmicks on phones that we haven’t already seen, but LG has brought a few new tricks to the table with the unveiling of the LG G8 ThinQ that in practice look less like gimmicks and more like glimpses into the future.
