Lenovo

With a quiet online store unveiling, Lenovo has officially announced its new Edge smartphone, which figures under the company-backed Zuk brand. With its low price and good spec sheet, there’s quite a lot to love…

Earlier this year Lenovo announced its futuristic take on the 2-in-1 tablet with the Yoga Book. By ditching physical keys for an entirely touch experience, the Yoga Book created something truly unique. Right now, you can get the Yoga Book with either Android or Windows, but many have asked for a Chrome OS model. Now, Lenovo is confirming that new variant for next year.

A few years ago when Google announced Project Tango, it was something impressive, allowing our devices to see the world around us with detail they never could before. However, it felt like something so futuristic that we’d never see it. Then, Google released a 7-inch Tango developer kit to show off the tech. It was cool, but expensive and not at all aimed at consumers.
Then, in early 2016, Google and Lenovo announced plans to release the world’s first consumer device running Tango, and needless to say, we were pretty excited.
Now, that device is here ─ the Lenovo Phab2 Pro. I’ve been using this giant, powerful, impressive phone for the past several days, so let’s answer the question, who should actually buy it?

Chromebooks have come a long way over the past few years, but we still see a ton of misconceptions surrounding the platform from the average consumer. That’s a big hurdle for OEMs trying to market Chromebooks, but now Lenovo is firing back on Chromebook myths in a new ad for its ThinkPad 13 Chromebook.

There is a reason why many analysts and pundits are skeptical of big acquisitions, and one of the main reasons is that big companies merged into one entity rarely do so organically.
One example could be Lenovo‘s acquisition of Motorola in 2014, the result of which has ostensibly influenced the reshuffling now taking place at the company…

We’ve seen leaks regarding the Moto M for a few months and last night Lenovo made the phone official in the Chinese market. As expected, this is a mid-range smartphone with a premium all-metal design and mid-range specifications.

Motorola’s big feature with the Moto Z family is Moto Mods — easy to use “modular” attachments for the phone that add extra capabilities such as better speakers, extra battery life, enhanced camera capabilities, and more. However, that’s not all Moto had in mind…

Google has today released its Tango platform out into the world, and the first phone to get the new AR capabilities from Google is Lenovo’s Phab2 Pro. We first told you about the Phab2 Pro when it was announced at a Lenovo event back in June, and now it’s finally available online and at retail for $500…

After being announced at IFA 2016 ─ and following a brief period of exclusivity at Verizon ─ the Moto Z Play is now available unlocked for $449…

At IFA 2016, Lenovo had a lot of fun new products to show us such as the Moto Z Play, a few new laptops, and a new Moto Mod as well. The biggest thing that was revealed however was a new tablet, the YOGA Book.

Early this year Lenovo revealed that it had been working with Google to develop and release the first consumer device with Google’s Project Tango. Later in the year, Lenovo announced that the device would be releasing during the summer, only be to delayed yet again, apparently to November…

After yet another slew of heavy layoffs, the Motorola we have always known may very well be considered dead. However, its parent company Lenovo is trying to do its best not to make us think so, this time playing the nostalgia card…

Since Lenovo bought Motorola from Google in 2014, the company has made some major changes within the smartphone manufacturer — the least of which being rebranding the company’s phones as “Moto” devices. Lenovo has also let go of a lot of employees go since its acquisition including one round of layoffs that is happening as we speak…

One of the highlights of IFA 2016 last week, at least from Lenovo, was the company’s very unique 2-in-1, the Yoga Book. Running your choice of Android or Windows, the Yoga Book brings a 10.1-inch display on one side, with a special touchpad which doubles as a keyboard on the opposite side. Lenovo has put a skin atop Android to let it take better advantage of the hardware, but at first glance, the Yoga Book seems better suited to run on Chrome OS, and apparently, Lenovo has the same idea…
Lenovo had a lot to show us at IFA this year — perhaps more than expected. We heard quite a while ago that the company was planning more Moto Mods and a “Play” version of the Moto Z, but the company’s Android-powered convertible and tablet caught many by surprise. Unfortunately, despite the external attractiveness of pretty much everything the company announced, there’s nothing that screams sure-fire hit with consumers. Watch our hands-on video for more…

By far one of the worst aspects of the launch of the Moto Z has been Verizon exclusivity. Since the phone’s launch, it has been available only through “The Big Red”, with the eventual promise of the device going up for sale unlocked. Now, Lenovo is finally revealing when that new model will be available.

As we said in our review, Moto Mods make enhancing your phone easy. Want better speakers? Slap on a JBL speaker mod. Want better battery life? Add a battery pack! Motorola’s current line up of Moto Mods include all of the fairly obvious use cases, but today the company has launched a new Moto Mod at IFA: a camera from Hasselblad.

Today at IFA 2016, alongside the new Android-running Yoga Book, Lenovo announced a brand new Android tablet, the Yoga Tab 3 Plus. This 10.1-inch tablet puts a focus on entertainment, bringing a big, bright 2K display, JBL speakers, special viewing modes, and more.

One of the disappointments with Motorola’s recent lineup of devices has been the location and look of the fingerprint sensor. After receiving praise for the “dimple” on the rear of its phones for years (with many reviewers outright saying that it was ideal for a fingerprint sensor), Motorola — or perhaps more accurately, Lenovo — decided to slap fingerprint sensors on the front of the Moto Z and Moto G4.
Now, it seems that the company is testing out a rear sensor with the alleged upcoming Moto M…

We’ve seen a lot of great Chromebooks over the past several months, but one of the more interesting has been Lenovo’s new ThinkPad 13. With the promise of durability and performance, this new option looks like the ideal utilitarian machine, but is it actually worth your attention?

Microsoft and Lenovo have today announced a new patent cross-licensing deal that will result in a handful of Microsoft apps being pre-loaded onto Lenovo’s various Android smartphones. These apps would include the company’s most popular apps, possibly Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and Skype.

The Moto Z is a phenomenal smartphone, but there are still issues. One of the biggest, however, was the launch. With an exclusive release on Verizon Wireless only, Motorola/Lenovo have really kept eager customers waiting. But it seems that might end soon. Earlier this week a new listing went up on Amazon UK for the yet to be released GSM unlocked Moto Z.
