Google Stadia: Everything you need to know

Yesterday was one of the biggest days in gaming of the year between the release of Cyberpunk 2077, and arguably more importantly, the Game Awards 2020. Here are all of the announcements from the Game Awards that Stadia players should know about.

After the majority of a decade in development and several delays this year alone, CD Projekt Red’s absolutely massive and highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 has finally released for everyone. However, rampant performance issues with Cyberpunk 2077 have shone a light on Stadia, and for once, it’s for the good.

Stadia’s biggest release to date has arrived in the form of the uber-hyped 1980s-inspired Cyberpunk 2077. One of the biggest unanswered questions leading up to release though is just how well Cyberpunk is able to run on all devices — including Stadia.

Tonight is the big launch night of Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia, PC, and more, and it seems Stadia is handling the surge of traffic with only a few issues by comparison to PC players’ patching woes.

Cyberpunk 2077, the hyper-futuristic RPG from the developers of The Witcher series, is now available to buy and play on Google Stadia.

Two more games from THQ Nordic have just arrived on Stadia this morning — Destroy All Humans! and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom — Rehydrated.

Ahead of its next set of announcements probably scheduled for tomorrow, Google appears to be rolling out one of the biggest Stadia features yet — direct streaming to YouTube.

Since its launch, Stadia, Google’s premier game streaming service, has only been available in 14 countries worldwide. Today, that’s changing, as Stadia is now available in eight more European countries, including Poland and Switzerland.

Google Stadia’s library continues to grow, and this week we’ve seen a whopping 10 new games arrive alongside updates for Doom Eternal, Dead by Daylight, and more. The new Stadia release Everspace has also been confirmed to go 4K, and there’s evidence of some new titles on their way. Here’s what you need to know.

After multiple delays, the highly-anticipated game Cyberpunk 2077 is finally about to launch for gamers on just about every major platform. Now, CD Projekt Red is confirming when Cyberpunk 2077 will actually release with some good news for Stadia players.

Earlier this year, Google Stadia Games and Entertainment announced partnerships with a handful of studios, including Uppercut Games, the developers of Submerged. The result is Submerged: Hidden Depths, a sequel to the 2015 original and a Stadia exclusive.

After celebrating its one year anniversary, Google is marking the end of 2020 with six games joining Stadia Pro on December 1st. New titles include Everspace and Into the Breach, as well as HITMAN 2.

The latest exclusive game from Stadia Games and Entertainment is Outcasters, a fantastically fun top-down shooter with a lot of personality. More importantly, Outcasters keeps you (and your shots) hooked and coming back for more.
