With the new Pixel Tablet announced in full, users who pre-order the device will want to pair it up with a case. The tricky thing is that the nature of the Pixel Tablet requires a well-designed case made with its special docking feature in mind.

Ahead of Google I/O 2023, we went hands-on with the Pixel Fold and Tablet. Both are first-generation products, but one — surprisingly — ends up feeling less so than the other.

Announced last May and previewed again that fall, Google at I/O 2023 today fully detailed the Pixel Tablet. This is Google’s latest attempt in the form factor following the Nexus 7(2012 + 2013), 10, 9, Pixel C, and Slate, but the differentiating aspect this time around is how the Pixel Tablet can double as an Assistant Smart Display.

We’ve known about the Pixel Tablet for almost a year, and today Google is showing off the device in full alongside its new Pixel smartphones. At the last minute, a new leaked Pixel Tablet promo video is showing off some of the features Google has in store.

According to an early Amazon listing that has since been removed, the Pixel Tablet will be released on June 20 in Japan, while other key specs have also now emerged thanks to this leak.

Last month, the Pixel Tablet finally appeared in real images that suggested a coral hue, but a new official image/render reveals that it’s more pink in color.

As Google I/O quickly approaches, this past week has seen an absolute flood of Pixel leaks for the Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and the Pixel Tablet. Here’s everything you might have missed.

The Google Pixel Tablet has leaked quite a bit this week, including some hints at its price. Based on what we know right now, though, how much would you actually pay for the Pixel Tablet?

Google Design is exhibiting at Milan Design Week 2023 with “Shaped by Water.” That installation also happens to include a table of Google products, including the unreleased Pixel Tablet in a new coral color.

We shared a few more details about the Pixel Tablet at the start of this week, but the one piece that has yet to emerge is pricing. As Google I/O 2023 nears, leaks about that are starting to appear.

We still don’t know how much the Pixel Tablet will cost, but the “Standalone Charging Dock” is apparently $129 and will be available in colors other than Chalk.

While Google has already discussed the Pixel Tablet at two events last year, key details are still unknown. We can now report several of those Pixel Tablet specs, including RAM, according to sources familiar with the matter.

A new Pixel Tablet leak suggests that Google has added a privacy switch to the hardware since it was first teased last May at I/O 2022 and again at the Pixel 7 event in October.

The much-anticipated Google Pixel Tablet has arrived for approval at the FCC, revealing that the device will feature ultra wideband (UWB) connectivity, just like the Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro.

With the upcoming release of the Pixel Tablet, Google is once again reshaping the Google Assistant smart display ecosystem, which started on Android and has now come full circle back to Android.

Design-wise, Google has already shown off a lot about the Pixel Tablet. The latest leak goes in-depth on its “Stand,” while here are some details about the Pixel Tablet’s “Hub Mode.” 

Judging from the latest leaks, the Google Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet are both just around the corner. Matching that, Google appears to be readying more features and tidbits in Android 14 that look perfect for the upcoming Pixel foldable and tablet.

As we wait for the Pixel Tablet, Google continues to optimize its first-party apps for large screens. A byproduct of that work is a new Google Keep screenshot from the Pixel Tablet today.

Ahead of the upcoming Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold launches, the latest Android 13 quarterly update preview includes new animations for the taskbar and improvements to the multi-window experience for apps, as well as new settings for the tablet’s “Hub mode”.

According to newly leaked specs, Google is only making one Pixel Tablet, with no “Pro” model in the works.
