Samsung brings features and watch faces from its Wear OS Galaxy Watch 4 to older Tizen watches

While Samsung’s attention has clearly shifted over to Wear OS, the company isn’t abandoning its Tizen wearables. Today, alongside the announcement of its One UI 4/Android 12 update, Samsung is launching an update for Tizen smartwatches to bring over features from the Galaxy Watch 4.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch series handles smartwatch tasks well, but it’s also been strong when it comes to health tracking. For the past couple of years, Samsung has been making ECG and blood pressure checks available to Galaxy Watch owners, and now, that functionality is finally coming to Australia.

We’re just a few weeks away from the August 5th Galaxy Unpacked event and details have been steadily leaking out about Samsung’s latest lineup of five devices. Today, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 had its official app arrive in the Play Store, revealing new features including gestures to manage calls and take photos.
