Google announced two messaging apps today: Allo and Duo. The first is a new messaging platform that emphasizes expression, security, and the inclusion of Google Assistant. The second app is a take on video messaging, focusing on one thing and one thing only: a reliable 1-to-1 video calling experience.

While Google said that both of these apps would be available sometime this summer, early internal builds have already leaked. Don’t get too excited, though — neither of them work…

According to the Wall Street Journal, Lenovo is going to release its first device under the ‘Moto’ brand in July. Save for screen sizes larger than 5-inches and a fingerprint sensor, not much is known about the flagship. HelloMotoHK, a leakster who showed us the first photos of the 2nd-generation Moto 360, has now posted a picture of what appears to be an upcoming phone…

More images of the HTC 10 leak including previously unseen black model [Gallery]

photos-htc-10-gris-noir-02.jpg 2016-03-28 17-21-28

HTC’s upcoming “HTC 10” — sans the “M” of its predecessors — handset is set to be yet another well-specced entry for early 2016 and its launch could be one of many “make it or break it” moments for the Taiwanese company. Following disappointing launches of both the HTC One M8 and M9, the maker of the popular Vive virtual reality hardware and the recently-launched HTC One A9 mid-ranger is hoping to make a comeback with the “10”.

Now, thanks to some images that popped up on Chinese site TaoBao over the weekend, we have some new images to look at showcasing the phone in both black and silver variants…

HTC 10 rumored to have a Super LCD 5 display & 3,000 mAh battery

Site default logo image

htc-10

The HTC One M10 — rumored to be called simply the HTC 10 — has already leaked almost in full at this point. The phone, perhaps unsurprisingly, is going to ship with very similar specs as other early 2016 Android flagships, including of course being built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 system-on-a-chip. Now, Evleaks has come out to contradict some previous rumors saying that its previously-rumored AMOLED display is actually going to be a Super LCD 5 and that the phone will have a 3,000 mAh battery…

New HTC Desire 5xx handset by the name of ‘A16’ leaks via Evan Blass

htc desire a16

Don’t get too excited. While HTC does have an “A” line of HTC One smartphones, the above leaked handset renders (via Evan Blass) are actually a refresh of the company’s mid-range Desire line. That’s according to famed leaker LlabTooFeR who told us just a couple of weeks ago that there are two new Desire handsets scheduled to be released before HTC comes out with the “Perfume” HTC One M10 sometime after Mobile World Congress. According to Evan, the above images are of the Desire phone codenamed A16, making it a Desire 5xx phone…

Sony ‘Xperia PP10’ and ‘Smart Ear’ accessory leak before Sony event tomorrow

CbsnGTTXIAQwwnd

Not more than a couple days after saying that his fans “criticized [themselves] out of any leaks for a while,” (in reference to hateful comments about the LG G5) Evan Blass is on fire once again. Now, he has shared images of a mysterious Sony “Xperia PP10” smartphone (he says that might not be its launch name), as well as Moto Hint-like accessory called the Sony Smart Ear…

Evan Blass seemingly confirms previous LG G5 leaks with new image

lg g5

First details about LG’s upcoming G5 smartphone first showed up 2 months ago, and the first sketchy renders followed shortly after, but it wasn’t until just recently that the phone first appeared in the flesh on the Dubai equivalent of Craigslist. Now, after seeing the phone in a dummy shell, its Quick Cover case officially unveiled by LG, and benchmarks revealing its performance, Evan Blass has come out just days before the phone’s announcement to all but confirm everything we’ve seen thus far…

LlabTooFeR contradicts oft-reliable Evleaks, says HTC One M10 will be 5.2-inch

htc-perfume-leaked

A couple weeks ago, Evan Blass came out to unveil pretty much all of the upcoming HTC One M10’s specs, saying that — among other details — the phone is going to ship with a 5.1-inch display. Now, famed Android leaker LlabTooFeR has come out on Twitter to challenge Evan’s great track record. Apparently, the M10 is going to ship with a display not 5.1-inches in size, but 5.2-inches.

Samsung Galaxy S7 wallpapers surface before launch, download them here [Gallery]

GS7-Wallpaper-06

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 is set to be announced later this month, but it looks like by the time that happens there won’t be anything new to learn about the phone. We just saw actual photos of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge yesterday, and thanks to several previous leaks, we know a lot about the phones’ specs. Now, via a forum poster over at SamMobile, we have our hands on the official set of wallpapers for the unannounced phone…

The Samsung Galaxy S7’s release is approaching quickly and with that comes the leaks of several aspects of the device. GsmArena today has received images of both the front panel and camera module of the upcoming flagship. These images were snagged from the product line, most likely the production ready version, but a developer model based upon markings.

Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 5 leaked again, but this time it’s a spy shot of the white model

xiaomi-mi-5

We told you last week that a Xiaomi Mi 5 online listing revealed its high-end specs, and now it appears that one of the first photos of the device in the flesh—and in its white variant—has surfaced online (via TimesNews). The leaked phone looks exactly as we would expect, and sports a Mi logo on the top-left hand corner, a home button that looks a lot like that of a Samsung phone, and a nice glass and aluminum build that looks a lot like an iPhone…

This Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge concept is pretty, but it doesn’t make much sense [Gallery]

samsung galaxy s7

Case manufacturers are already making cases for the Galaxy S7 (and its design doesn’t look much different than the Galaxy S6), but that’s not stopping Curved from posting the Galaxy S7 of its dreams. Curved’s designs are always pretty, but as is the case with this one, they’re not always the most logical. As you can see, this design puts the USB Type-C port on the top of the device, a microSD slot on the bottom, and another edged screen along the bottom of its face…

A person familiar with the project tells us that the logo is meant to resemble a new wearable device that wraps around the head…

Huawei’s upcoming Mate 8 flagship leaked, here’s everything we know [Video]

huawei mate 8

The Mate 8 is shaping up to be the best Huawei phone yet, and this time around people might actually care. The previously almost-unheard-of-in-the-west Chinese company was the star of the show with this cycle of Nexus devices, and the company also launched this year what I believe is the best Android Wear smartwatch to date — the Huawei Watch.

And now we’re getting a look at the company’s upcoming flagship, the Mate 8, in all of its glory…

Messaging app that Edward Snowden uses ‘every day’ now available for Android

justsignal-1

Edward Snowden, the famed leaker of many a confidential NSA document, clearly needs some kind of encrypted communication medium. Yesterday, he came out on Twitter to say that at least one of the apps he uses is called Signal every day. And it just so happens that the app, which has been available on the iPhone for quite a while, is now available for Android….

OnePlus’ rumored ‘X’ budget handset leaks again, this time pictured by the FCC

oneplusone

The OnePlus One

OnePlus has a budget handset on the way, and just this morning, Pete Lau, the company’s co-founder, came out on Weibo to tease the device. We don’t know much about the phone yet, but we do know that OnePlus has an announcement to make in India on October 12th. We’ll probably see the company’s third phone announced at this event, and if these FCC images are to be believed as credible, we might now have our first look at the device in the flesh…
