Android 10-based Oxygen OS Open Beta 2 now rolling out for OnePlus 7 Pro
- The second Android 10-based Oxygen OS Open Beta 2 is now available for the OnePlus 7 Pro, bringing some needed fixes and tweaks.
With Android 10 now available for Pixel users and some other devices, OnePlus is making the update available as well. If you’ve got a OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro, the latest OxygenOS Open Beta is based on Android 10 and available for download right now.
Oxygen OS 9.5.8 is now heading out for the OnePlus 7, with the update highlights including the August 2019 patch and optimizations for the display adaptive brightness mode.
We often praise the update schedule that OnePlus keeps for their devices, and that continues with the release of the third Android Q beta for the OnePlus 6, 6T, 7, and 7 Pro.
Hot on the heels of the OnePlus 7 Pro update, the latest OxygenOS 9.5.7 OTA for the OnePlus 7 brings a ton of enhancements, most notably several camera performance improvements.
The OnePlus 7 is the oft-forgot younger brother to the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it lacked a few things from the more expensive flagship. One of those was the gorgeous blue paint job, but on Prime Day next week, the OnePlus 7 is getting its own “Mirror Blue” color variant.
The OnePlus 7 isn’t officially coming to the North American market and that is a disappointment because this is a fantastic follow-up to the OnePlus 6T, even if it feels very much like a retread.
To be able to try some of the greatest augmented reality experiences available today—like dancing with Childish Gambino or placing a great white shark in your room—you’ll need a device compatible with Google’s ARCore. Google maintains a list of Android and iOS devices that are supported by ARCore, and all of the newest OnePlus devices have been added to this list, including the fantastic OnePlus 7 Pro.
OxygenOS 9.5.5 is now rolling out to OnePlus 7 devices and brings with it a series of camera fixes and improvements alongside the May 2019 security patch.

While you’re unlikely to see the OnePlus 7 on US shores any time in the near future, the device has only just gone on sale in the UK, mainland Europe, India and China. Anyone picking up the device will be pleased (or not) to hear that the OnePlus 7 is shipping with a day one update to Oxygen OS 9.5.4.
