Review: Peel’s Google Pixel 2 case sold me on super-thin cases

Prior to reviewing cases for the Pixel 2, I’ve always preferred to use my phone without one. This obviously meant that my device was susceptible to wear from drops and scratches, but I’ve long been fine with the risk because it’s nice to use my phones the way their respective makers intended. But with Peel, as I found, I get the best of both worlds…

Samsung Galaxy S9+ tops Google Pixel 2’s camera score on DxOMark w/ record 99

The cameras on our mobile devices just keep getting better and better, to the point where for most people, dedicated cameras have nearly become obsolete. With the debut of its new Galaxy S9, Samsung is hyping up the camera over all else. Is it really going to live up to the hype? If early tests prove true, it will indeed, as a recent test has just given Samsung the crown over Google’s Pixel 2…

Even black-out drunk, the Pixel 2 takes some great low-light portrait shots

Over the weekend, Moya Lothian-McLean on Twitter might have had a little too much to drink before heading out to grab something to eat. During her travels, despite not remembering any of it, she (reportedly, who knows what’s true and not on the internet?) managed to take a pretty impressive looking photoshoot using her Pixel 2 XL while at a kebab restaurant…

How to turn off open network notification on Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL

One of the little nuisances within Android is all of the random notifications that pop up constantly. One of which is when your phone lets you know that there are open Wi-Fi networks around that you can connect to. Thankfully, you to disable these notifications on the Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL

How to turn Motion Photos on or off in the camera app on the Google Pixel 2 or 2 XL

Introduced with the Google Pixel 2, Motion Photos is an opinion in the camera application that records several frames before and after you take a photo. How to change media, alarm, and ring volume on Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL

Depending on how you use your phone, you will most likely want to change the ringtone volume of your Pixel 2 while not affecting the media playback audio level. The same goes for alarm volume. Thankfully, unlike with phones from other OEMs, Google makes it extremely easy for Pixel 2 owners to change all three different volume modes. Here’s how…

GAlaxy s8 and note 8 android 11

Third-party launchers are an awesome part of Android, especially because you can customize them in a lot of ways. However, it’s often the case that official launchers still work better in some ways.

How to turn on or off battery percentage on Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL

With how much we all rely on our smartphones, it’s important to know exactly how much battery life we have left. What kind of color customizations do you hope to one day see in the Pixel line? [Poll]

Yesterday, shortly after Google’s hardware design lead shared images of early Pixel 2 and Pixelbook iterations, a tipster wrote in to tell us that the company had also tested different colored fingerprint sensors and even multi-colored edges. Unfortunately, none of this came to market, and all we got was the orange power button on the panda Pixel 2 XL.

Do you think Google should take what it learned and find ways for customers to customize how the next Pixel smartphone will look?
