HTC’s upcoming “HTC 10” — sans the “M” of its predecessors — handset is set to be yet another well-specced entry for early 2016 and its launch could be one of many “make it or break it” moments for the Taiwanese company. Following disappointing launches of both the HTC One M8 and M9, the maker of the popular Vive virtual reality hardware and the recently-launched HTC One A9 mid-ranger is hoping to make a comeback with the “10”.

The HTC One M10 — rumored to be called simply the HTC 10 — has already leaked almost in full at this point. The phone, perhaps unsurprisingly, is going to ship with very similar specs as other early 2016 Android flagships, including of course being built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 system-on-a-chip. Don’t get too excited. While HTC does have an “A” line of HTC One smartphones, the above leaked handset renders (via Evan Blass) are actually a refresh of the company’s mid-range Desire line. That’s according to famed leaker LlabTooFeR who told us just a couple of weeks ago that there are two new Desire handsets scheduled to be released before HTC comes out with the “Perfume” HTC One M10 sometime after Mobile World Congress. According to Evan, the above images are of the Desire phone codenamed A16, making it a Desire 5xx phone…

Samsung is set to announce the Galaxy S7 Edge in just a couple hours, but the leaks (of which there have dozens) aren’t over yet. Now, we’re getting our first look at the retail box for the Galaxy S7 Edge, all but confirming several specs that have previously been speculated (via SamsungViet).

Less than a week away from Samsung’s Unpacked event, the Galaxy S7 has been shown off in a short 14 second video. This is the first glimpse of the software running on the S7 and it looks nearly identical to last year’s and the version of Marshmallow that is rolling out now to other devices.
A couple weeks ago, Evan Blass came out to unveil pretty much all of the upcoming HTC One M10’s specs, saying that — among other details — the phone is going to ship with a 5.1-inch display. Now, famed Android leaker LlabTooFeR has come out on Twitter to challenge Evan’s great track record. Apparently, the M10 is going to ship with a display not 5.1-inches in size, but 5.2-inches.

The Samsung Galaxy S7’s release is approaching quickly and with that comes the leaks of several aspects of the device. GsmArena today has received images of both the front panel and camera module of the upcoming flagship. These images were snagged from the product line, most likely the production ready version, but a developer model based upon markings.
We told you last week that a Xiaomi Mi 5 online listing revealed its high-end specs, and now it appears that one of the first photos of the device in the flesh—and in its white variant—has surfaced online (via TimesNews). The leaked phone looks exactly as we would expect, and sports a Mi logo on the top-left hand corner, a home button that looks a lot like that of a Samsung phone, and a nice glass and aluminum build that looks a lot like an iPhone…

Case manufacturers are already making cases for the Galaxy S7 (and its design doesn’t look much different than the Galaxy S6), but that’s not stopping Curved from posting the Galaxy S7 of its dreams. Curved’s designs are always pretty, but as is the case with this one, they’re not always the most logical. As you can see, this design puts the USB Type-C port on the top of the device, a microSD slot on the bottom, and another edged screen along the bottom of its face…

There are many leakers who use Twitter to dispense information, but there is now a leaker on Reddit who claims to know the LG G5’s specifications. While this is definitely sketchy, the rumor is given a small amount of validity as it features a purported picture of the G5’s dual-camera setup…
The Mate 8 is shaping up to be the best Huawei phone yet, and this time around people might actually care. The previously almost-unheard-of-in-the-west Chinese company was the star of the show with this cycle of Nexus devices, and the company also launched this year what I believe is the best Android Wear smartwatch to date — the Huawei Watch.

Edward Snowden, the famed leaker of many a confidential NSA document, clearly needs some kind of encrypted communication medium. Yesterday, he came out on Twitter to say that at least one of the apps he uses is called Signal every day. And it just so happens that the app, which has been available on the iPhone for quite a while, is now available for Android….

HTC’s upcoming One A9 mid-ranger has potentially won the award as the worst kept secret of 2015. The iPhone-esque device has already been leaked numerous times and now Orange France has given us yet another look at the phone.

OnePlus has a budget handset on the way, and just this morning, Pete Lau, the company’s co-founder, came out on Weibo to tease the device. We don’t know much about the phone yet, but we do know that OnePlus has an announcement to make in India on October 12th. We’ll probably see the company’s third phone announced at this event, and if these FCC images are to be believed as credible, we might now have our first look at the device in the flesh…
