Google Assistant now has step-by-step audio instructions for 5 million recipes on Google Home

Rolling out this week for Google Home users, Google Assistant now offers step-by-step spoken cooking instructions for around five million recipes. The feature, Google notes in a blog post today, is powered by various sources including Bon Appetit, The New York Times, Food Network and more, and works by sending a recipe to Google Home via Assistant on your smartphone, or by simply asking Google Home for a specific recipe.

Kodi on Android TV will add recommendation tiles and voice search in ‘Leia’ [Video]

This app can still remap the Bixby button on the Galaxy S8 to anything you want — sort of

As I stated in my Galaxy S8 review the other day, Samsung’s new digital assistant, Bixby, is pretty pointless right now. Its functionality is very limited, to say the least, and it certainly isn’t worthy of its own physical button. Past attempts to remap that button to something else have been blocked, but there’s one that still works and it’s an app called “Bixby Button Remapper.”

PhotoScan now lets you scan photos faster and share them directly from the app

Last November, Google introduced a new application called PhotoScan that allows users to quickly and easily scan old printed out photographs with their phones and then save them to the cloud. As photos are glossy, they tend to glare. The app’s solution to this problem involves having users take multiple photos of the physical image from different angles.
