Ingress Prime will introduce a major update to Niantic Lab’s first AR game in 2018

Back in 2012, Niantic Labs was a subsidiary of Google when it launched its first AR mobile game called Ingress. Since its inception, the game has gained a close-knit community, but its size pales in comparison to the company’s second AR experience, Pokémon GO. Going into 2018, Niantic Labs has decided to go back to the drawing boards and completely revamp the mobile application and call it Ingress Prime.

YouTube’s Community fan feature now open for more creators, testing story-like ‘Reels’

Last year, YouTube launched a “Community” feature that allows creators to post text, images, GIFs, and other interactive content directly to the video network. It’s designed to allow fans to receive real-time updates in-between uploads. Today, the Google site is expanding creator access to it, as well as adding new features.

Google Lens receives its first update w/ image translation and saving, Google Keep import

Following last week’s announcement, Google Lens began widely rolling on Monday to Assistant on Pixel and Pixel 2 phones. In a teardown of the Google app yesterday, we spotted that Lens was working on adding the previously announced translation feature, among several others. Today, that functionality is starting to rollout to Google Lens.
