After such a positive launch of the Nokia 7.1, HMD Global seems to be on a roll with the Nokia brand at the moment. We recently gave you a taste of what to expect from the newest night mode on the market in the form of OnePlus’ Nightscape, but how does it stack up against one of the other best night shooters that aren’t from Google?
The OnePlus 6 is already capable of using the company’s new Nightscape mode thanks to Android Pie beta 6. Naturally, that meant I had to head out into the darkened streets to see if it actually makes any difference to the night-photography capabilities of the device.
We reported that the OnePlus 6 has already seen a multitude of add-ons that will also be found on the recently announced OnePlus 6T, music to the ears of OnePlus 6 owners. The Google Home Hub, despite a few omissions, is probably the best Smart Display available for the vast majority of those looking to buy an assistant powered home control screen. I always saw Google’s own Smart Display effort as a potential threat to the JBL Link View and Lenovo Smart Display, but let me explain the differences (as of today) and why my first statement will apply to most considering a device in this category.
Fresh off the back of news that the Huawei Mate 20 series won’t be made available in the United States comes our review of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Personally, I think it is a massive shame that the device won’t be officially available in the US, as this device could be a serious contender for smartphone of the year. Huawei could be criticized for trying to throw all the ingredients into a smartphone and hope that it sticks, but in practice, there is so much here to love.
Make no mistake, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is an expensive handset at over $900, which means if you don’t want an equally expensive repair bill, then a case, screen protector or both might be top of your priority list. Since using the device I have had the opportunity to test quite a few cases and already compiled a list of my favorite cases for the Note 9, but this is all about protecting that exemplary display.
