Google appears to be working on Windows 10 certification for the Pixelbook from Microsoft

Google’s Pixelbook is easily one of the best laptops on the market today, but no one would be wrong if they argued that Chrome OS holds it back. Recently, we’ve been seeing the possibility of running other operating systems on the Pixelbook, and it seems that Google itself is looking to get the device certified for running Windows 10.

Google will add a manual dark/light toggle to the Pixel Launcher in a future Android release

One of my favorite small touches on the Pixel 2 when it first launched was the addition of a dark theme to match your wallpaper. It’s a great change if you ask me, but having it based on your wallpaper is sometimes a bit annoying. Now, it’s looking like Google will give users a manual toggle in the future.

Google Pixel 3 will likely keep the Pixel 2’s squeezable Active Edge

After working with HTC last year, Google decided to introduce a new input method it called Active Edge. When enabled, you could launch the Assistant or silence notifications by squeezing the two sides of the Pixel 2 inward. Well, whether many customers used it or not, it appears as though Google plans to bring Active Edge to the upcoming Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

The Pixelbook’s power button can double as a U2F security key

Several days ago, Google released a handful of videos discussing its “Advanced Protection Program” which just advises people to purchase and use Yubico security keys as a means of physical two-step authentication when logging into their accounts. But as it turns out, the Pixelbook’s power button can be used as a Universal 2nd Factor (U2F) security key.

Congress scrutinizing Google’s RCS deal with Huawei to provide carrier infrastructure

While the Executive Branch is warming up to Chinese companies like ZTE following the reversal of an export ban, Congress is continuing to scrutinize US companies working with China. The legislative body is now particularly focusing on a Google and Huawei partnership announced in January to push RCS adoption.
