Last year Spotify partnered with Genius to bring a new feature to its iOS app — “Behind the Lyrics.” Using Genius’ lyric knowledge base, the feature brought some interesting functionality to Spotify’s iOS app, and today, that same functionality has made its way to Android…

Android TV is a popular platform for using Kodi since it’s incredibly easy to install and to keep updated. With Hangouts removing its ability to act as an SMS client, Google and select manufacturers are pushing users towards Android Messages. A minor update (version 2.1.x to 2.2.x) to the app today brings a number of interface tweaks to Android’s SMS and RCS client.

The 2017 Nvidia Shield TV is one of the best set-top boxes you can buy, especially for 4K content. It’s one of the only Android TV devices to stream Amazon Video in 4K, and it pushes 4K HDR content without skipping a beat. Now, Nvidia has announced that its streaming box supports 4K content from Google Play Movies.

As I stated in my Galaxy S8 review the other day, Samsung’s new digital assistant, Bixby, is pretty pointless right now. Its functionality is very limited, to say the least, and it certainly isn’t worthy of its own physical button. Past attempts to remap that button to something else have been blocked, but there’s one that still works and it’s an app called “Bixby Button Remapper.”

Back in January, Twitter announced that Moments on mobile would be combined into a new ‘Explore’ section that encompasses popular stories, search, and more. That combined tab is finally showing up on Android for some users.

Last November, Google introduced a new application called PhotoScan that allows users to quickly and easily scan old printed out photographs with their phones and then save them to the cloud. As photos are glossy, they tend to glare. The app’s solution to this problem involves having users take multiple photos of the physical image from different angles. Android is all about customization and allowing users to change the operating system to fit their style. For this reason, custom builds of Android allow for users to enable dark themes throughout the operating system and some app developers have also built dark themes into their apps.
