Samsung Galaxy S8 vs S8+

This year Samsung went with a slightly different design for the two brand new Galaxy flagship smartphones which removed almost everything from the front of the display. This allowed them to go with an almost bezel-less look, increased screen sizes, and also keep the phone’s physical size relatively close to last year’s models. But besides looks alone, what’s the difference between the standard Galaxy S8 and the larger S8+?

Which new Android Wear watch interests you most? [Poll] [Update]

Site default logo image

Update: We’ve now had a second day of Android Wear 2.0 watch announcements. The below poll now includes the new smartwatches. These include the Hugo Boss Touch, the Diesel On, the Tommy Hilfiger T24/7You, the Fossil Q Venture and Q Explorist, and lastly the Movado Connect.

Today essentially turned into smartwatch announcement day as we had four different Android Wear devices see announcements from three different companies. All of these watches have almost identical specs, so it is mainly their design that sets them apart. If you were to purchase one of these smartwatches, which would it be?

How long do you think Google should wait between major Android releases? [Poll]

Site default logo image

With Android, Google has pretty much nailed down a yearly release schedule. First, the company announces the upcoming version and releases a developer preview sometime near March. Then, it reveals more information about the update at I/O in the summer, and finally releases the stable build in the fall near October. Is this too small of a turnaround time for major Android updates?

How to install Android O Developer Preview factory images on Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Pixel C

Site default logo image

Just like last year, Google decided to announce the upcoming version of Android well before the company’s developer conference this summer. Plus, just like last year, Google is giving developers (and anyone else with a compatible Pixel and Nexus device) the opportunity to test out a pre-beta build of Android O months before its official release.

If you have the Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, or Pixel C, there’s a build of Android O available for you to install prior to the update’s official unveiling later this year. Be aware however, that this is a very early build of the OS and is riddled with bugs, glitches, and overall performance jankiness. If that doesn’t sway you, though, keep reading…
